MIDDLETOWN, Conn — A man was shot during a domestic disturbance in Middletown on Bow Lane on Sunday. He later succumbed to his injuries at Middlesex Hospital.
Middletown Police Officers were called to the scene at approximately 1:14 p.m. Dispatch had received reports of a domestic disturbance at a home, with information indicating that a man had been shot.
Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. Emergency medical services took the victim to Middlesex Hospital, where he later died.
Middletown Police Major Investigations Detectives arrived at the home and are collaborating with the State's Attorney's Office in an ongoing investigation. The names of the parties involved are being withheld. Police say that this incident is isolated, and there is no discernible threat to the general public.
The investigation remains active.
