OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. — The Old Saybrook Police Department is investigating an apparent home invasion, assault and kidnapping at a home Friday morning.
At 8:30 a.m. police received a 911 call from a resident at a home in Old Saybrook. The caller reported that two adults, one armed with a baseball bat, entered the home, assaulted and injured two adults. A woman was taken from the home against her will and suspects took off from the scene.
Both victims left behind were taken to the Middlesex Health Shoreline Emergency Department.
Police said the incident was isolated. At 10:00 a.m. Old Saybrook officers, with assistance from the Westport Police Department, took the two suspects they said had illegally entered the home and assaulted the homeowners, into custody.
The woman who was taken from the home was brought to Norwalk Hospital Emergency Department with non life-threatening injuries. The vehicle that they were driving was seized along with the aluminum bat that was used to strike the victims about the head and body area.
The investigation remains active, although no additional arrests are expected and no suspects are at large according to police.
Police arrested Randolph Tucker, 53, and Kimberlee Tucker, 53, of Katonah, New York.
Police have not released the charges.
