HAMDEN, Connecticut — A man has been arrested following an investigation into a woman's car that had been shot at in Fairfield.
Christopher Naber was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Violation of a Protective Order, 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell and Possession of a Controlled Substance Within 200 Feet of a School. He was held on $100,000.
On Thursday, Hamden police received a call from Fairfield police that a woman reported her unoccupied vehicle had been shot at several times. In September, she had obtained a no-contact restraining order against her former boyfriend, following an alleged family violence incident according to police.
Police served four search warrants on Naber's home and property.
Authorities seized two forty caliber firearms, 40 caliber ammunition, several high capacity magazines and several spent 40 caliber cartridge casings. as well a 45 caliber handgun, and over a pound of marijuana from Naber’s bedroom. In his bedroom, police said they found and seized 1006 tablets from Naber’s vehicle which were later determined to be Xanax. Officials said that Naber does not possess a valid pistol permit.
