HARTFORD — Hartford police have nabbed a suspect in a nearly year-old homicide in the city, and investigators said it was the suspect’s own big mouth that helped lead to the arrest.
Nolan Evans is charged with murder, felony murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and criminal possession of a firearm in connection with the April shooting death of 33-year-old Charles Rogers.
Police said Rogers was sitting in a car when he was killed by a shotgun blast to the head during a robbery attempt.
Investigators said they were led to Evans by two informants who said the suspect talked about the killing.
Evans’ lawyer told The Courant he couldn’t comment because he is still investigating the case.
