HAMDEN--It's been more than six years since Joseph Ferraiolo was gunned down inside his own business, and police are still working to find the person responsible.

On February 9, 2010, around 8 p.m., police received several 911 calls reporting the sound of gunshots at 1212 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden. Police found Ferraiolo, the owner of A Touch of Color Tattoo shop, lying on the ground of his shop with two gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died a short time later.

Ferraiolo, 64, had several grandchildren he left behind.

His family members, who did not want to be identified by name, spoke to FOX 61 about how he was generous and always willing to help others.

Captain Ronald Smith, of the Hamden Police Department, said, "This is the victim of a heinous crime, a murder. We're hoping to attempt to ease the pain for the family with the arrest of who did this."
