FARMINGTON – Hoop dreams came true in Farmington Sunday, where the very first Special Olympics Unified Sports basketball game tipped off.
The game featured Special Olympians from the area joining with NBA star Tayshaun Prince and UConn legend Rip Hamilton.
The event was part of the Special Olympics of Connecticut’s “Dream Ride Weekend” that raises money for their great cause.
“Dream Ride”, is sponsored by Cheshire-based Bozzutos, Inc. and brings in exotic autos nationwide for car enthusiasts to enjoy.
This years “dream ride” celebrated its 16th year at the Farmington club, which estimated the weekend raised around 1.5 million dollars for the Special Olympics.
