A second American stricken with Ebola is expected to arrive to Atlanta Tuesday morning and begin treatment.

Closer to Connecticut, doctors in New York City are still treating a man there who is showing symptoms of Ebola. But, it is looking more likely that the case at Mount Sinai Hospital there is not Ebola.

Doctor Jeremy Boal said, “The first thing we would like to stress is odds are this is not Ebola, it is much more likely that it’s a much more common condition.”

The hospital does have new protocol in place though, after Ebola broken out in four West African countries.

Mount Sinai is screening every patient that enters the hospital for travel history and symptoms. Hospital officials said the man had returned from West Africa in the past month and came to the ER with gastrointestinal symptoms and a high fever.

Specimens from the man will be tested by the CDC in Atlanta, and officials said that could take a day or two for the official results to come back. Ebola is not spread thru air water or food, it is spread thru bodily fluids.
