On Tuesday around 9:15 p.m., a male clerk at the Center Deli Mart, located at 37 Center St. in Bristol, called police to report that a Hispanic female had come in the store and indicated she had a gun in her waistband. She demanded money from the register, and left with an undisclosed amount of money in a dark car that had multiple people inside.
The girl was described as being in her early 20s with light hair. She was wearing glasses, a gray hoodie and gray sweat pants.
On Thursday, police identified a suspect as Luz Diaz, 23, of Bristol. She was arrested around 4:30 p.m. and charged with robbery in the first degree and lareceny in the sixth degree. She is being held on $100,000 bond.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
