WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — Travelers have one more option when it comes to flights to Florida. Starting Wednesday, Spirit Airlines is launching a non-stop flight from Bradley to Miami.
Spirit Airlines started flying out of Bradley International Airport in April 2017. Since that time, the airline has started offering nonstop service to Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Tampa and now Miami.
The new service to Miami International Airport will operate daily year-round, with the inaugural flights taking off as follows:
BDL to MIA: 8:10 PM (Departure) – 11:30 PM (Arrival)
MIA to BDL: 3:30 PM (Departure) – 6:46 PM (Arrival)
Connecticut Airport Authority Executive Director Kevin A. Dillon said they are thrilled with Spirit Airlines’ expansion at Bradley Airport and the addition of their new, nonstop service to Miami.
"The new route strengthens our region’s connectivity to a key Florida destination, giving our passengers now even more convenient and affordable travel options," Dillon added.
John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning said it’s going to be easier than ever to getaway to the vibrant South Florida community and beyond with connections throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
“We know people are ready to travel again, and we’re excited to add an exciting nonstop option to South Florida, with a new daily Miami flight in addition to our popular Fort Lauderdale route," Kirby said.
Miami International offers nonstop service to six Florida cities on five different airlines.
