Weather Watch: Thunderstorms move through CT

The severe threat is lower (1/5) than Tuesday's but still warrants watching with the main concern being damaging winds.

HARTFORD, Conn. — Strong storms blew through the state yesterday, topping trees and wires in areas.

And we're expecting the chance for strong storms today as well.

As of 11:15 p.m. 6,524 reported outages for Eversource customers

Traffic was also impacted in some areas but as crews cleaned, Wednesday, more roads were cleared. Route 341 in Kent however is closed at Route 7 due to wires in the roadway.

The severe threat is lower (1/5) than Tuesday's but still warrants watching with the main concern being damaging winds.
