WALLINGFORD, Conn. — A man riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash in Wallingford Sunday night, the town's police department said.
Police said they arrived at the intersection of Masonic Avenue, North Turnpike and River Road at 9:23 p.m. for a car collision involving a 2008 Honda Civic and a Honda Grom motorcycle.
Anthony Charlton, 25, of Wallingford, who had been riding the motorcycle that was involved in the crash, died from his injuries, according to police.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police determined that Charlton was traveling north on Masonic Avenue onto North Turnpike and collided with the Civic as it was making a left turn onto Merritt Parkway from South Turnpike Road.
The teen driver of the Civic remained at the scene of the crash and was "fully cooperative" with officers, police said.
