HAMDEN — Quinnipiac University has earned the number six spot on a new list for student debt.
U.S. News and World Report released a new list this week of the Top 10 Colleges That Leave Graduates with the Most Student Loan Debt.
The average debt load for the Quinnipiac class of 2013 was $44,552, the list says. It also says 71 percent of students pay for tuition with loans.
Quinnipiac tuition and fees are $40,670 per year without room-and-board, the list adds.
St. Francis University in Pennsylvania is number one on the list with tuition costs of $50,275.
