High pressure that delivered our beautiful Sunday will slowly drift offshore Monday with clouds increasing during the day.  Light rain will overspread the region by the Monday evening commute as our next storm slowly moves northeast into the Tennessee Valley.  The storm will track into New York State and northern New England with a band of moderate to heavy rain Monday night into Tuesday. That could deliver as much as 1”-2” of rain by time the storm moves away early Tuesday.  A secondary cold front will move through Connecticut during the afternoon with a possible instability shower.  Cool Canadian high pressure will move into the Northeast on Wednesday with brisk NW winds and cooler temperatures.  Milder air returns to the region Thursday and Friday followed by another cold front late Friday with a few late day showers.  Next weekend looks fairly nice as high pressure will deliver plenty of sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
