NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Police say they are now investigating the discovery of body in East Rock Park Monday morning as a homicide.
Police identified the victim as 21-year old Angel Luis Rodriguez of New Haven was found near Farnam and Orange Streets.
New Haven Police responded to Farnam Drive, near East Rock Road, along the base of East Rock Park Monday morning. Rodriguiz's body was discovered along the side of the road. At that time police called the death suspicious.
Police would not discuss whether there were any visible wounds on the body.
