Metro-North schedule still reduced due to Ida flooding

Hartford Line, Shoreline East, and Amtrak resuming normal schedule; Metro-North on reduced schedule.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Metro-North Railroad will run an "enhanced weekend schedule" on its New Haven Line Friday, as engineers and work crews continue to deal with the significant damage inflicted on the railway by flooding from the remains of Hurricane Ida.

CTrail said that the Hartford Line and Shoreline East were resuming service, but that "Customers should monitor http://HartfordLine.com, and check their connecting operator's website for updates, as changing conditions may cause delays, cancellations, or schedule adjustments."

Amtrak said that its trains on the Northeast Corridor would resume normal service, although some trains between New York City and Albany will be canceled.
