Ryan Breton is a meteorologist for FOX61 News. You can catch his forecasts weekend evenings at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., and reports on science, climate and the environment during the week.

Before joining FOX61, Ryan worked at NEWS CENTER Maine (WCSH-TV) in Portland for four and a half years. While in Maine, Ryan covered countless nor’easters and the state’s largest tornado outbreak on record.

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology from Penn State, one of the best atmospheric science programs in the country.

He began his on-air career at NH1 News in Concord, New Hampshire, and worked as an intern with the meteorologists at WCVB-TV in Boston while in college.

Ryan has been nominated for a Boston/New England EMMY award for Outstanding Meteorologist. He obtained the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal in the fall of 2018.

Outside of work, you can find Ryan spending time outdoors skiing, golfing or running. His favorite sport is football and he proudly roots for the New England Patriots and Penn State Nittany Lions. Ryan grew up in southern New Hampshire and is glad to be forecasting in New England.
