BERLIN, Conn — One man was killed when he was hit by a car on Route 9 in Berlin Tuesday evening.
Connecticut State Police said Damian Liberda, 42, was struck and killed by a Toyota Tacoma traveling in the right lane near Exit 33 on Route 9 Southbound. Liberda was seriously injured and died at the scene of the crash, police said.
This case remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact TPR Genovese #485, at Troop H, at 860-534-1000, or through e-mail at christopher.genovese@ct.gov.
