Police investigating homicide in Hartford's North End

The incident happened near a grocery store on Capen Street, around 6:30 p.m. Friday.

HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford police are investigating a homicide that happened Friday evening. 

The incident happened near a grocery store at 224 Capen Street, around 6:20 p.m. Friday. 

Police identified the victim as Dominique Lino, 36. 

Officials said that ShotSpotter indicated multiple rounds being fired. Police found an unresponsive man in his 30s with multiple gunshot wounds. 

Officers began CPR until fire and EMS arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital.

Police said the shooting happened in front of the store.  The shots came from a group of males walking in the area, according to police, and it's unclear how many shooters were involved.  Officials said the shooting appears to be targeted. The shooting is under investigation.

The family established a GoFundMe page to help his family.
