NEW BRITAIN, Conn — New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart and her husband Domenic, announced the birth of their second child today, a baby boy, Domenic “Nicky” Thomas Mutone, who was born on Monday.
“We are beyond thrilled to announce that Lina is finally a big sister,” said Mayor Stewart. “Domenic and I are so pleased to bring this little bundle of joy into the world, and add to our happy family. The baby and I are healthy, home, and happy.”
“Our family would like to, once again, give special thanks to the incredible staff at the Hospital of Central Connecticut,” said Mayor Stewart. “We had absolutely fantastic labor and delivery nurses and Dr. David Sowa of Starling Physicians provided incredible care – the experience was great.”
Her spokesperson said, "The Mayor and her family respectfully request privacy during this joyous time."
Stewart was first elected at the age of 26 in 2013. She has served five terms and is on the ballot again next month.
