BRISTOL -- Police are investigating an incident where a man tried to lure a child into his van earlier this week.
The child ran and was unharmed.
Police said it happened on Tuesday afternoon, when a man pulled alongside of an 8-year-old and offered the child some candy, but the child ran the other way.
The driver of the van was described as a white male in his 40's with a brown beard and brown eyes. He has a thicker build and was wearing a red, white and blue hat although the child could not clarify the type of hat.
The incident took place on Park Hill Road, near Rockwell Park.
If you have any information or may have seen this van you are urged to contact the Bristol police department.
