NORWICH, Conn. — Police officers are investigating a motorcycle crash that left one dead Wednesday evening.
The crash happened in the area of North Main Street and Second Street. Police say both vehicles were traveling north on North Main Street. The vehicle in front began to slow and took a left turn. The motorcycle tried to pass the vehicle on its left side but hit the front part of the vehicle's driver side.
The motorcyclist was taken to the local area hospital and was later pronounced deceased. The victim was later identified as Colchester resident Kevin Ferreira.
The crash closed the road for about four hours as police investigated the scene.
